What is Epigenetics?
Epigenetics is the study of how the environment, diet, and lifestyle factors effect your genes’ expression. It has been shown that up to 98% of gene expression (which ultimately controls the body’s physical, mental and emotional functions) is controlled by an individual’s daily choices and environmental influences. Can I get a hair analysis if my hair is dyed?
Yes, the resonance of the technology focused on the bulb/root of the hair follicle and is not affected by hair color above the root bulb.
How much hair is needed for the hair analysis scan?
4 follicles of hair are needed for the scan. They will be plucked all at once from the occipital region of your scalp, just above the nape of your neck. For more details about your hair scan please see Epigenetic Hair Scan page.
What if I am bald?
If there are no follicles on your head, we will pluck from your eyebrows.
Are the nutrient indicators that arise a measurement of deficiency?
Not in the traditional sense of evaluating your nutrient levels against a generic baseline range as is done in a typical blood test; But rather the nutrient indicators identified are BETTER, they are a more accurate measurement of deficiency based upon your body’s needs. For example, an athlete who engages in regular strenuous exercise may show an indicator of B1, but that doesn’t mean on a traditional blood test he would be deficient against the generic range, it simply means that within his system his needs are greater and therefore the report would show B1 as an indicator for his personal system’s needs.
Why does it take 90 days for my body to respond to a change in my behavior or environment?
New epigenetic expression within the body is a process that requires many internal modifications in order for the physical effects of the optimization efforts to be realized. From a biological perspective, the body has to produce new proteins, which have to produce new cells, which have to repair tissues and systems, and enhance enzymes needed for billions of biochemical reactions that have a physical affect on the entire body. The optimum time for these metabolic processes is 90-days, which is a natural cycle the body goes though and is synced with nature. This is also why we suggest several sequential 90 day protocols for ideal Optimization.

Are the foods recommended as restrictions on my report allergies?
No. Although these foods when consumed may not show any physical signs and symptoms of an underlying problem, they are not supporting your body’s needs and ultimately take up more energy in an effort to properly digest them than they are providing in return. The extra digestive enzymes are therefore taken from other foods and can cause overall digestive issues. Restricting them for 90 days, along with other changes you make from your report can help your body replenish the necessary proteins and enzymes so that you can hopefully resume consuming these foods without issue after your follow-up scan.
What kind of changes can I make that will influence the indicators represented on my hair analysis scan?
The body is vastly and intricately intertwined. You will find that every system affects every other system, and the choices we make everyday have a great impact on each one of them as to whether or not we are functioning at our greatest capacity. Your initial scan is a starting off point, and over the course of each scan every 90 days, we will focus on both your personal nutrient indicators, along with the several lifestyle enhancements to focus on from the 8 Lifestyle Keys. It will be a combination of these changes in behavior and in environment that will ultimately create your body’s ultimate optimization.
Do you offer group discounts or other promotions?

What if my partner or whole family is interested in getting a hair scan? Do you offer any group discounts?
We love hearing that couples and families are interested in optimizing everyone in the household, and we know it can be tough, especially if you plan to scan every 90 days! So we have made a big effort to provide deep discounts in an effort to help you reach your goals.
For In-Person Hair Scans, each additional person is booked at the discounted “Add-On” rate, then in addition, an families of 4+ would also receive the Overall Family Discount of 5%, 10%, and then 15% off the entire appointment cost, each subsequent time the whole family returns for a 4+ person appointment!
For Mail-In Hair Scans for couples or a family (please be aware that due to technology requirement needs to read a mail-in sample along with shipping, our costs are more than double what they are for an In-Person consult) We have worked hard to keep costs to you as low as possible, and are thrilled to also be able to offer an “Add-On” discounted rate for any partner or family member interested in optimizing their health right along with you! In addition to this discount, any follow-up mail-in hair scan orders with 2+ clients will receive 5%, then 10%, and finally 15% off each subsequent 2+ person appointments!
Do you offer any individual discount for follow-up appointments?
YES!
For any individual In-Person Full Wellness Consultation you receive 15% any follow-up appointment.
For any In-Person Hair Scan you receive 10% off your first follow-up Consultation and then 15% off each additional future Consultation.
Due to high technology and shipping costs of our Mail-In Hair scans, we unfortunately are not able to provide a discount on any Individual follow-up hair scans. However, we do offer an “Add-On” discount for any partner mail-in kit you wish to order, AND a 5% discount for both clients on your first follow-up scan, a 10% discount for both clients on your second follow-up scan, and a 15% off discount on any third and beyond follow-up scan for any 2+ clients or more.

How does the scanning technology work?
This amazing German-founded technology is discovered upon measuring resonance energy from the hair (bulb) follicle. For more information please reference the Epigenetic Hair Scan. page.
Who will have access to my personal information?
Your identifying personal information is not sent with your hair analysis data for processing. Additionally, the data packet that is sent, is deleted from the German processing center immediately after the report is sent back for review. Any personal information I collect is securely stored and accessed by through the client portal in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Does the hair analysis scan diagnose disease?
No. The purpose of the hair analysis scan is to assess the current state of your body so that you can make lifestyle changes and provide it what it needs to optimize itself. For information on exactly what indicators are analyzed and included on the report, please reference Hair Scan Report.
Why are the report indicators only valid for 90 days?
The body’s metabolism is constantly changing. At the moment your follicles are plucked we are measuring your indicators from that moment in time which for a typical person represents your lifestyle and nutrition levels over the past 90 days (which also happens to be the length of time the hair bulb is grown below the surface of the scalp). With new nutrient and lifestyle changes it will begin to change in a positive direction everyday until your next scan is performed 90 days into the future.
Where is this technology currently being used?
Although born in Germany, this technology was developed by scientists and medical professionals from all over the world. It is currently serving clients in 67 countries.
Is this hair analysis technology FDA approved?
Yes, this device has been FDA approved for use in the United States as a “general wellness device”. It is not intended to diagnose any disease, but rather create an optimal environment to allow health to flourish.
